Buenos Aires
The city of Buenos Aires is the capital city and the largest city in Argentina.
The Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, constitutes the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in the Americas, with a population of around 15.6 million.
Buenos is known for its preserved Eclectic European architecture[11] and rich cultural life, is a multicultural city, being home to multiple ethnic and religious groups. Several languages are spoken in the city in addition to Spanish, contributing to its culture and the dialect spoken in the city and in some other parts of the country.

Salta
Salta, also called in Argentina as “Salta La Linda” was funded in 1582 and it is well known by its colonial architecture and its Andean legacy. Around the main square you can find typical Cafes, the main Cathedral and the famous museum MAAM “Museo Arqueologico de Alta Montaña”, where you can find Inca stuff and the mummies of Llullaillaco, those 3 kids that were mummified at the top of Mount Llullaillaco by the Incas and were offered to the Sun God.
In the city people can also visit San Bernardo Hill, can get at the top by walking, or taking a funicular. Once you get there, you will have the most spectacular picture of the whole city and its valley.
One of the so many places to visit here is called La Polvorilla, an incredible bridge builded in 1932, but opened in 1939. At 4200m above sea level, , is one of the highest bridges for railway in the world. To arrive there, on the way you will stop at the pre inca ruins of Tastil and cross by the Quebrada del Toro until you get at San Antonio de los Cobres, a very small town few meters away from the famous bridge.
Another awesome place to visit is Salinas Grandes, located at 4096m above sea level; this is one of the Highlights of Northern Argentina, with a white surface of 212 km2, from there you can appreciate “La Puna”, a huge plateau at the high mountain with a stunning scenery. From there we can go down hill until we reach the Andean town of Purmamrca, where you will find the unmistakable 7 Colors Mountain. Here you can not miss the local food, such as “Empanadas, Humitas and Chivito Asado”, great cuisine with unique flavours, always keeping the Andean tradition.
Near Puermamarca, it is located the town of Tilcara, right in the middle of La Quebrada de Humahuaca declared by UNESCO Heritage, with its Pucara de Tilcara ( pre-inca´s city), the Archeological Museum among others, Uquia very well known by the church that keep paints from the Cusco´s Painting School. The place was funded by Omaguacas, uquías, quechuas y tilcaras before the spanish colonization, and where you still can find remains of those cultures.
Puerto Madryn
Puerto Madryn, located on the Atlantic coast, it is known in Argentina for its aluminum factory, but around the world it is well known for the whales sanctuary.
The city came to life in 1886 as a railway junction; immigrant workers flooded in from Europe as the railway network expanded. Both Welsh and Italian language and traditions are still very strong here.
Peninsula Valdes itself is a World Heritage status paradise for wildlife lovers, a wildlife sanctuary and breeding area for Southern Right whales (June to December), elephant seals and sea lions, and in March Orcas start to arrive and you can see them hunting sea lions on the coast. Incredible wildlife scenery is waiting for you to be discovered. Take a whale watching boat trip from Puerto Piramide to see the whales up close.
Next is Caleta Valdes, a natural canal with great variety of marine and terrestrial wildlife including an elephant seal colony. In the peninsula, you will find another incredible place, the Salinas Chica and Grande, the biggest depressions in South America (some 126 feet below sea level).
Away from Puerto Madryn, you can also visit the largest population of Magellan Penguins in South America (almost 1 million) at Punta Tombo. It is a lonely place located on the coast, and it is the biggest continental breeding ground of Magellan penguins. There, people can walk along the park trails and see more than 200,000 nesting birds, and more than 600,000 penguins.
Nearby, you can visit Gaiman, a picturesque small town settled by Welsh immigrants in the 1870’s. It still maintains much of its original architecture. You may savor a delicious Welsh tea with pastries at one of the traditional teahouses of Gaiman.
El Calafate
El Calafate is a Young town funded in 1927, located at the southern shores of Lago Argentino. Its name is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that is very common in Patagonia.
Los Glaciares National Park, was declared a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This place is a very important tourist destination as the hub to visit different places inside the national park Los Glaciares such as Perito Moreno Glacier, Upsala Glacier, Spegazzini Glacier, Frias Glacier, El Chalten and its Fitz Roy and Torre Mounts.
The gem of this national park, Perito Moreno Glacier is sliding down from atop the southern continental ice field, Moreno’s 70-m wall of ice sporadically chokes off the narrow Canal de Los Tempanos, creating a natural ice dam, which eventually explodes in a dynamic display of force every 3/4 years depending on the weather. You can enjoy close-up views of the approaching front wall of the glacier taking a one-hour boat cruise from the local port.
In the last 7 years, a private company opened a small ski center nearby the town, so in winter season it is open for all those who like to ski and enjoy the amassing scenery from the top of a mountain.
Surrounding the town and near the lake, you can find few “Estancias” where you can stay and get to know the hard life in those places, sleeping at typical and worm houses, eating great “Asados” and sharing fabulous moments.
El Chalten
El Chalten is a very small mountain village inside Los Glaciares National Park, located at the shores of “Rio de las Vueltas” river, and almost at the base of Fitz Roy Mount and Cerro Torre.
This place is very famous for its hiking trails, nad climbing routes at Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy Mount, where people from all over the world arrive there to challenge those pics.
One of the most famous hike is Laguna de los Tres viewpoint for an absolutely stunning picture of the complete Fitzroy Massif. Mt. Guillaumet, St. Exupery, Mermoz, Juarez and other mountains that form the jagged group, if weather allow it.
Directly across a small glacial lake rises Mt. FitzRoy, almost two miles of vertical wall in a single bound.
If you have enough energy, can visit a glacier called Piedras Blancas. The majority of the hike is of moderate difficulty, however the last 45 minutes to the viewing point is difficult but the view is worth it and is one of the highlights of El Chalten.
Another hike you can do is to Cerro Torre viewpoint and Torre Glacier, and if you want to get both massif in one picture, you have to hike to Loma del Piegue Tumbado, from there you have the best picture of the valley including Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy Mount and all the mountain change that surround the place, simply spectacular!
If you want a relaxing day, take a van to visit Laguna del Desierto, an stunning and peaceful place surrounded by a deep vegetation and pristine water.
