Quick Itinerary:

Tour Plan
DAY 1: Cusco - Challacancha
We will pick you up at your hotel at 05:00 hrs. With the private transportation of the agency to travel for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, during the route we will observe beautiful views of the mountains that surround the Cusco Valley, including the mountain of Salkantay and several high, Andean and extensive villages, areas of cultivation of potato and corn We will arrive at the town of Mollepata (2,900 m / 9,514 ft) in this town we will have the option to have breakfast if we have not yet done it and also do the last minute purchases. Then we will take the transport again to travel for an hour to Challacancha (3,675 m / 12,057 ft) during this short trip we will observe the valleys of the valleys of Mollepata. In Challacancha we know all our road team (cook, muleteers, acemilas) give us a warm welcome and then prepare for our adventure in the mountains we have the option of putting the backpack on the sidewalk, we will give a brief explanation before the walk , we will walk for 3 hours for our walk we will observe the Humantay Snow Peak (5,917 m / 19,413 feet) the place on foot in plane and the way to acclimatise better for the rest of the way. Day 2: Soray - Salkantay Mountain - Colcapampa
After climbing for 2.5 to 3 hours on a winding road we will arrive at a glacial moraine where we can appreciate Vizcachas (chinchilla andina) and a very small lake. After 3 hours we will finally reach the pass which is the highest point of the trip (4,600 meters / 13,451 feet). Here you will find yourself in the middle of two great mountains - Salkantay (6271 m) and Huamantay (5850 m). Salkantay is the second highest mountain in the Cusco region and in the pass the mountain itself is very close to you. From here you can also see the mountain Pumasillo (5850 m) in front of you, a mountain that can be seen from a different angle to be in Machu Picchu. Descend to Huayracmachay (or Huayrapampa) or Andenes, approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from the pass, where we will have lunch.From the highest point, with the views of the Santa Teresa Valley, we will descend to the camp in Unuyoc. You will probably be the only people in the camp. This is a very nice place to camp, with wonderful landscapes.
Day 3: Colpapampa - La Playa Sahuyaco - Santa Teresa Hot Spring
After our breakfast at 7:00 am. approx. to continue with our walk towards Collcapampa where we will pass through narrow paths with abundant flora typical of the area such as the different types of orchids and waterfalls that will be seen during the whole journey. After 5 hours of walking we will finally arrive at Sawayaco, also known as the beach where we will have lunch and then we will take a car to Santa Teresa, located at 1,645 meters above sea level, for approximately 45 minutes we will be in Santa Teresa around 3.00 pm where we will settle. After a short rest we will go to the medicinal baths (not included) which is located at 4.5 km approx. of Santa Teresa. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Santa Teresa - Hidrolectrica - Aguas Calientes
We will wake up very early to take our breakfast, to start the walk for four hours approximately until you reach the Urubamba River and have lunch by the hydro-electric station there. The Hidroelectric is located between the provinces of La Convención and Urubamba in the region of Cusco at 2,438 meters above sea level. The plant will take advantage of the turbine waters of the Machupicchu I and II Hydroelectric Power Plants to generate around 722 GWh of energy annually. Hydrolectrica is actually farther than Machu Picchu town on the train. It is mainly used by locals. Finally we will arrive at Aguas Calientes town located at the foothill of Machu Picchu Mountain.
Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early morning, we will continue this adventure traveling to the mysterious city of the Incas Machu Picchu!. We will have a guided tour that will take us to know about the history of the Incan city, the guided tour will take around 2 hours then you will have free time to take pictures or climb (if you want it) the famous Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (please note that Machu Picchu Mountain is different of Machu Picchu Citadel) these are peaks above Machu Picchu that are used to take some panoramic pictures of the Incan city! Then, we are given time off to spend and explore Machu Picchu on our own. In the afternoon, we return by train to Ollantaytambo, from where we are taken by a private transport to Cusco.
